We import data into Selltis from any of the following formats:
- MS Access
- MS Excel
- XML

Delimed text file
MS Access allows populating multiple tables of data into a single database
file (mdb extension).
MS Excel is a good medium for data transfer, but make sure your memos don't
exceed its limit of 32,767 characters per cell. Note that Excel will display only
the first 1,000 characters of any cell.
XML is another versatile format that allows embedding field names and other
metadata.
Delimited text files are typically in a comma-delimited format. Each double-quote
symbol (" character) must appear as two " characters (""). Single
occurrences of the double-quote characters within fields of the text type invalidate
this format because the double-quotes are used to delimit fields. Use a tab-delimited
format only if there are no tab characters in the data, and a column-delimited format
if there are no hard returns in the data.
How to Submit the Data
Send us smaller files via e-mail or upload them to our ftp server. Contact us for
authentication information. If you prefer,
send us the data on a CD or DVD disk.
